In the previous article, we briefly learned about the Ubuntu system.

Let us now see how to implement it. It has different steps.

Step 1. First, go to the computer's "BIOS" settings and set the boot priority option to "CD" and then restart Ubuntu 3.0 by placing the CD in the CD drive. (This means your computer will start using the CD of Ubuntu 3.0 you have entered…)

Step 2. You will see a menu to choose when the computer is turned on. Go to the “Boot From CD” option and enter. Click on the "Install Ubuntu 10.10" icon.

Step 3. A new window will appear. Select the "English" option and click on the "Forward" button.

Step 4. The next window will show your collector's information. (Remaining space e ..) Click on the "Forward" button.

Step 5. The next window will ask you where to "install". The last option is to select "Specify partition manually" and click on the "Forward" button.

Step 6. The next window will ask which "partition" you want to "install" on.

The green belt (sda1) is the first partition on my hard disk. It has "Windows" installed on it. Saffron and blue are my other two partitions. The white stripe means that it is free space. We are going to install Ubuntu on it. Go to free space in the table below (10818 MB) and hit the "Add" button.

Here you can use the following formula to calculate the amount of space you need.

RAM: 1 GB Up to:

swap partitions = RAM Size * 1

If RAM is 1 GB If greater than:

swap partition = RAM Size * 1

** If you have enough space on your hard disk, it's best to use the RAM Size * 2 formula at any time.

8 GB for root partition That is enough space, if hard disk space is less then 3 GB is kept.

Step 7. "Create New Partition" opens a new window. Select New partition size and Mount Point ”/” and click on “Ok”.

Step 8. The next window will show you the "partition" you created. (/ dev / sda8). Now click on the remaining free space and press the "Add" button.

Step 9. Back to the "Create New Partition" window opens. Select New partition size and Use as: "swap area" and click "Ok"

Step 10. The next window shows the new Partition created. Select "boot loader" "/ dev / sda" and click on "Install Now".

Step 11. Where are you? Select Time Zone Kolkata and click on "Forward".

Step 12. Select "Keyboard layout" USA "and then click" Forward "

Step 13. Who are you? Fill out the complete information and click on "Forward".

Step 14. The Welcome Window will show you the progress of the installation.

When it is done, remove the "CD" from the "BIOS" and "Hard Disk" from the "BIOS" before the computer starts and restart the computer.

Congratulations you have successfully installed Ubuntu!
