In today's world, knowledge is a treasure. The closer it is to today, the more secure it is. Due to this, the cost of knowledge has increased today. For example, attending any college or taking any book, it has become quite expensive. Often inflation has to shake our hunger for knowledge.

How wonderful it would be if all this knowledge was available for free. Jimmy Wells had similar thoughts and also acted on it. From that Wikipedia was born. An infinite store of knowledge opened to the public, but free. Many of you may know about this, but Wikimedia has many more projects besides Wikipedia. They are also available in many languages. All this is also available in Marathi. That is what we will learn about.
Wikipedia aims to create encyclopedias in all the world's languages. Wikipedia was born on January 5th. It now has over 200 million articles in 5 different languages. It has the English language at the forefront. There are now articles on more than 5 different topics in Marathi and they are on the rise.
Similarly, there are several Wikipedia projects that we will try out individually.

1. Wikipedia - The free encyclopedia

This project has written articles on various topics. This article is written by volunteers on the Internet. If you want to know about computer, Nigeria or India's history, all is available here. This information is also available in Marathi.

2. Wiktionary - dictionary

3. Wikiquote - Extensions

This project includes free e-books, various language courses, etc. Creating stocks of This is the main purpose: to help students and teachers. Various books can be found here.

5. Wikisource - Resources

This multilingual project began on November 1st to collect free and available papers. As a result, many important works like the constitution of any country can be stored and translated. To date, over 1.5 lakh various papers have been deposited. This is where I met the Indian Constitution.

It contains various news articles. Its main function is to confirm the news and to test the credibility.

Likewise many projects are under the name wiki-or -pedia. But Wikimedia does not have any project other than the above 4 projects. Likewise, all information on Wikimedia is free to read and use.

This year, Wikipedia completed 3 years. Now Wikipedia is paying special attention to India. For this, he has started an Indian language project.
